Including everybody!

A new beginning! The Cambodian SeeYou team will now continue as an independent organization: People’s Action for Inclusive Development.

SeeYou has been working in Cambodia for a long time. Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in Asia. Children and adults with disabilities are still often falling through the cracks.  SeeYou works on access to (eye) care, education and work and stands up for the rights of girls and women with disabilities.

Since 2015, SeeYou has built a team that advises and guides local governments and aid organizations in Cambodia to make programs and policies inclusive for people with disabilities. Over the past seven years, our Cambodian team – which still operated under the name ‘Light for the World’ – managed to build cooperation with international organizations, the Cambodian Red Cross and local aid organizations. It ensured that many Cambodian children and adults with disabilities were seen, from a village level to the national government.

Now it is time for the next step. The SeeYou team will now continue as ‘People’s Action for Inclusive Development’ (PAfID): a Cambodian organization, with roots in the local society, and a solid national and international network.

SeeYou is enormously grateful for the programs we have developed and implemented together. We are proud of the step PAfID is now taking and will remain a strategic partner in the years to come. We look forward to continuing to stand up together for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities. Including everybody!
